I am one of the few that like Bowden and respect what he has done for that University. I would like to see him go out with a good season. Clearly Jeffy, wasn't getting it done. Unfortunately guys who pay $50,000+ to the athletic dept/school are going to get a chance to have their say in the program. It's just the way it works, if they don't they'll take their money. Look at the Zook situation at UF, the Willingham situation at ND, even AVERAGE programs like Michigan State with John L. Smith, those were all situations where the coaches contracts were bought out by the boosters, not the school.

When he has the personnel to run his offense, it works pretty darn well.

That being said we lose one of these last 2, it won't be anyone's fault but Smith's unfortunately. :

With GrothE at QB, Rod's play calling seems to be much better to me. I just hope that he doesn't get GrothE killed by running him between the tackles sooooooo much.....JMHOhe is sureif usf had a top oc grothe would be that much better

Auburn does for sure. Their booster that owns Colonial Bank "fired" Bowden ... he was messing around with his daughter Granted, this is different than "firing" asst. coaches.
