Using CFN's prediction; if they have both Louisville and WVU in BCS games, then that means they both win out. USF would be 7-5 and Pitt would be 6-6. How could the Texas Bowl select them over us?

texas, and most bowls can select whoever they want, sometimes they use conference rankings as a guideline but they can choose any bowl eligible team in the conference that hasn't already gone to BCS or Gator.  they would choose Pitt due to ticket sales and national name recognition regardless how bad we beat Pitt

Such is life for our young Bulls.  The nation will know Bull nation soon enough.  Go Bulls, beat UL!

Bowls can't choose a 6-6 bowl eligible team as long as there's a 7-5 (or otherwise winning record) bowl eligbile team available. I'm pretty sure someone somewhere else on this board quoted the exact provision somewhere recently.

I don't know, it seems like Texas has a fondness for cattle teams
