Miami's Pata Shot To Death

University of Miami defensive tackle Bryan Pata was shot and killed Tuesday night at an apartment complex in Miami, Miami-Dade County police said. Police had no other details. Pata, a 6-foot-4, 272-pound senior, is from Miami.

University of Miami defensive end Bryan Pata was shot and killed Tuesday night, shortly after leaving the practice field, according to a university official with knowledge of the situation.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity because a formal announcement still was being prepared by the university, had no knowledge of the circumstances surrounding Pata's death.

Miami-Dade police refused to release specific information about what happened.

I think it was a FIU connection...

Can this program take any more hits? I mean, what the heck do you say going into a recruits house when the parents start asking questions about this program? Not that there is anything coaches/ad/pres. of the school can do about this, but its still another question that has to be answered from a recruiting point.
