Cincy's Schedule

Sat, Nov 11        at (4) West Virginia        12:00 pm

     Sat, Nov 18      (16) Rutgers      12:30 pm

Sat, Nov 25      at Connecticut      TBA

USF

Sat, Nov 4        Pittsburgh        12:00 pm

Sat, Nov 11      Syracuse      7:00 pm

Sat, Nov 18      at (6) Louisville      TBA

Sat, Nov 25      at (4) West Virginia      12:00 pm

Realistically, Cinci will prolly lose to Rutgers and WV and prolly win against UCONN.

That will make them 6-6

If USF only wins against 'Cuse they too will finish 6-6

We need a win next saturday..

GO BULLS

I think you've pretty accurately seen what we need to do...

It leaves us cheering for UConn, and as always for the Bulls.

Even if USF and Cincy finish 6-6 that does not automatically mean that Cincy will be taken over USF for a bowl.  As bad as UConn is, going up there in late November is not going to be as easy it seems.

Let us not forget that Cincy has the worst ome attendance in the Big East at less than 15K per home game.  If Cincinnatti is bowl eligible, they are not necessarily a lock for a game.

I'm thinking both will get bowl bids.  Usually not every conference can fill all thier bowl slots, and bowls would rather take a big east team rather than a non bcs team.  Maybe some one can look at each conferences tie ins and project which slots will go unfilled.  Plus, don't assume they are going to take UC over USF.  Thier attendance has been terrible this year.  They have a smaller stadium and it still looks absolutely empty most games.

In the past, there were rules that said no 6-6 team could be taken ahead of a 7-5 team when the bowl was selecting an at-large team.  I need to verify this when I do my next bowl analysis.

It could mean that a 7-5 Kent State team gets selected ahead of a 6-6 USF team. :-/

Can we call the selection committee in for "owing us one"?  That rule was practically made because of us.
