I'm assuming the coaches have a lot of respect for PJ on how he has handled himself.  Sometimes loyalty is not such a bad thing, especially when you have a good kid on your team.

I do agree his throws are consistently high.

Gregory was in the midst of being convereted to a DB ... clearly not part of the longer term QB plans.  I think the real question is...who will be the #2 next year?  A true freshman QB it appears.

because Gregory most likely does not lead us to that TD.  Pat prevented USF from having its 2nd shutout in 108 games.

I don't know if it would have mattered who they put in at that point in the game from a comeback perspective.

I admit that I gave up on us having any chance to win with time left on the clock. It was nice that PJ did get usa score and that the team didn't quit.

Don't hold me to this, but there is an NCAA rule that says if you put in your 3rd string QB your starting QB is done for the game. Maybe they thought they could get Grothe back in.
