On the Buy/Sell segment of College Gameday he said he would buy the Big East and he mentioned that we are a team in the mix. Corso sold, so no surprise there.

its no suprise where Corso's alligence is.

he will be on the ACC till he dies.

although, even as a bulls and big east fan.  i still think the ACC is a tougher divison.  SEC is always #1 or #2 but they have like 24 teams.  big 10 is overrated..  pac-10 is overrated.  both play the same type of football as every other team in their conference so it makes them look better then they are.

 SCHEDULE FOR BCS GAMES

The Bowl Championship Series game schedule after the 2006 season will expand to five games, and TV rights for four of the five have switched to Fox from ABC, which retained the Rose Bowl. The schedule with times p.m. Eastern (games will have anchor teams from leagues in parentheses if the BCS title game matchup does not interfere):

Jan. 1: Rose Bowl (Big Ten/Pac-10), Pasadena, Calif., ABC, 5

Jan. 1: Tostitos Fiesta (Big 12), Glendale, Ariz., Fox, 8:30

Jan. 2: FedEx Orange (ACC), Miami, Fox, 8

Jan. 3: Allstate Sugar (SEC), New Orleans, Fox, 8

Jan. 8: Tostitos BCS championship, Glendale, Ariz., Fox, 8

By Jack Carey, USA TODAY

Three years after the Big East Conference's automatic Bowl Championship Series spot was called into question, the league has two contenders for the national championship heading into the weekend when the first BCS standings of the season will be released.

In more good news for the league, BCS analyst Jerry Palm believes it's "unlikely" a one-loss team from the other conferences whose champions get automatic BCS bids would finish ahead of West Virginia or Louisville so long as the winner of their Nov. 2 game goes undefeated.

"That's as long as the poll voters vote them a solid No. 2 (in the final rankings)," said Palm, whose website, CollegeBCS.com, projects the BCS standings. "I think this year Louisville or West Virginia would probably get that respect. But polls drive this thing, so that can change."

In Palm's approximation of the standings this week (with one of six computer ratings still not released) Louisville is fifth and West Virginia ninth. WVU plays Syracuse on Saturday, and Louisville meets Cincinnati.

The Mountaineers' non-conference schedule has not agreed with the BCS computers. "West Virginia is 17th in the computers this week," Palm said of the team that's fourth in the USA TODAY Coaches' Poll and fifth in the Harris Interactive rankings.

Following the defection of Miami (Fla.), Virginia Tech and Boston College to the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2003, the Big East's BCS future looked cloudy.

But the league has regained some respectability.

"The Big East schedule is not going to hurt (West Virginia or Louisville) as much as it would the last two years because (Big East teams) went out and won some non-league games this year," Palm said. "Rutgers, Louisville and West Virginia are undefeated. Pittsburgh has one loss. That's half the league."

Last year marked the first time since the BCS system began in 1998 that the top two in the initial standings  Southern California and Texas  met for the title.

Other issues to follow as the season continues:

• Boise State's chances of finishing in the BCS' top 12, thus getting an automatic bid to one of the BCS bowls, do not look good, Palm believes. The Broncos are ranked 19th by the coaches and 21st by Harris, and their Western Athletic Conference schedule won't impress the computers, he thinks. However, there's a chance the Broncos could finish in the top 16. That would land a berth if they finish higher than one of the champs from the leagues with automatic spots (ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pacific-10 and Southeastern).

• Notre Dame now must be in the final top eight for an automatic bid. It previously needed a top-10 finish.

• If Ohio State and Southern California continue on course to meet for the national title, the Rose Bowl could lose both the Big Ten and Pacific-10 champions.

• The top two in the final BCS standings, to be released Dec. 3, will play for the BCS championship. The title game this season will be Jan. 8 in Glendale, Ariz. This is the first year the BCS will use a "double-hosting" model with a championship game played apart from the four traditional BCS bowls: Sugar, Rose, Orange and Fiesta.

I was surprised he mentioned USF.  I thought he would just mention UL, WVU, Pitt, and RU, but he also added USF when talking about how he would buy the Big East.  He did not mention SU, UConn, or Cincy.

That is good that he mentioned USF in the mix.

on ABC, while the two Analysts were talking between games today and at half time, they had a clip of the USF vs UL game from last year on loop.... showing us dominating them.   The game was not a Big East game that was in progress, it was OSU and Mich St.

USF is starting to get some more respect which is a good thing. I think Kirk knows that USF will be pretty strong soon.
