I don't like how some people are riding him so hard though. Maybe there is something more to his lack of interest in making alot of contact. I have pics of that interception and he clearly runs right by the guy who ends up tackling Roberts. That was strange I thought. Anyway-- had to give too much grief to the defense after that effort. PS-- Isn't Cover Two more about zone assignments than actual mannig up at the line?

PS-- Isn't Cover Two more about zone assignments than actual mannig up at the line? the corners play the short and flats in cover 2 so they can therefore play upclose presnap and focus on jamming the recievers since they dont have to worry about being beat deep since thats the safties zone. It is about zone but to run successful cover 2 your corners need to get good jams at the LOS. the outside line backers cover what are called the curl flat areas and the safeties have the field with each having 1/2 the field hence it being cover 2/2 deep coverage. with the middlelinebacker having to cover alof of ground in the middle of the field. They are stacking the left, but we are blocking the left more heavily... i don't think this is a problem... compared to 15 yard punts and dumb freshmen mistakes we were having. In Jenkins' defense: He did run down their running back on the 55 yard run in the 1st quarter (that was called back by a penalty on UConn). He came from the other side of the field. Man is quick and usually covering the other teams top wide out. Although to many P.I. penalties.

We all know he could run up to & right through them, but his follow-through on the actual tackles is atrocious.Somebody get him a copy of Tackling for Dummies!!!!!
