I just moved away from campus 3yrs ago, and there were a ton of people that lived on or around campus. I still think the majority of the students live at home with the parents or are adults continuing thier education, I think that is what classifies us as a commuter school. 40k+ stong I think about 20k may live on or around campus. More younger students go here than when I first showed up, and more and more live nearby. The only thing that could even remotely make USF a commuter school now is the existence of 4 campuses, and the fact that you need to attend more than 1 to get all the upper levels you need sometimes.
