Did you guys watch the same game I did ?  Offense ?  Why are you even talking about offense.  I don't have the numbers but I am willing to bet that Kansas had a big lead in time of possesion.  When that happens your offense has very few oportunities.  The D has the majority of the blame for this loss if you are looking to blame someone.

I wouldn't put Rod Smith in the same company as Spurrier or Weis.  Those two coaches put points on the board when given the chance.  Ours really never has under Smith.

rarely in college football do you see great freshman  on any team.

takes time to develope or do you think an 18 year old freshman is the same player he is three years later after playing and lifting weights for three years.  i dont

70 freshman came in 2005

70+ freshman came in 2006

sounds like a young team to me.

what are ther a little over a 100 players on the team ?  seem about right

let me make it clearer

there are 70 players on our current roster that are either true freshman, redshirt freshman or sophmores out of what a 105 total players.

What makes you think they aren't quality players ?

most don't start until they are juniors & seniors.  like most football programs in America.

Have you ever played football?

You script upt to the 1st half. Then make adjustments at half time. Until your team is getting shitcanned you stick with the original gameplan. It was 0-0 and we had success moving the ball. We drove the ball inside their 25 twice, didn't make the 4th down (Leavitt's choice) and threw an INT to end the half.

We did make adjustments at the 1/2 but Kansas's ball control was unfreaking believable.

As for the 3rd down draw. It's the offense, and Grothe runs it well. The best example of how that play is to be ruin I can give is Tim Tebow running the exact same play against Tennessee on 3rd and 4th down 5 or 6 times last week and they never stopped it (they knew it was coming every time) or any game with Vince Young last year...However, that play is good for 2 reasons. With the QB running you have an extra blocker, Grothe runs well. Our Oline just didn't block well. It is a good play if ran correctly however.

Grothe is a gem, he runs well and passes well. Taking his legs away would just hurt how well he can run the offense.

Let me know how you feel when Grothe is injured and Julsucke is back in there...
