I have to agree with you all on the "off" night by Moffit and Jenkins. We all have seen these boys play much better. Also, we need to cover the 10 yard pass just under the D between the LB's and D backs. The LB's were beinng frozen and p[laying the qb too much tonight leaving that 10 yd open for all those 3rd downs. This has been a bone of contention all year. Every team we have played has used this weakness against us. You would think the D coaches would see this and adjust. CJL was on one of the D coaches after the 2nd quarter. Anyone see this too?    Reaper

i agree with those observations...but i dont think we are the worst 3rd down team in the nation.  i think that much like all the kansas fans have been saying....their senior QB is a very good QB when it comes to his mental play.

our pass rush was a serious problem and i probably yelled 15 times tonight..."GET SOME PRESSURE!!!"

but that might be that we ran into some big cornfeed country boys who can pass block.

going into this game i knew that kansas has a serious RB and he proved to be a good player.

i have no problem with a realisitc questioning of the performance..

but its all these "you really thought we would be 4-0?  we suck?  have you watched a game?" type comments that piss me off

usf got lucky the better qb didnt play

usf wouldhave lost by more

usf got beat by the back up qb guys

The defense can't be out there as long as they were tonite and expect to hang on.

I agree.. but they also allowed way too many 3rd down conversions.

True, how true, but too many 3rd down conversions.

I still want to know why CJL didn't challenge that fumble in the 4th quarter, replays look like his knee was down, even the radio commentators thought he should have challenged.

did cjl know he had the right to challenge it?

Yes, it wasn't indisputive evidence, not worth our timeout.

There was clearly indisputable evidence that his left knee was down.  FSN had a replay from behind the play that showed it.

CJL should have challenged - IMHO.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
