The IFC showed up... I saw then next to the band.  Enough said... SG has learned what is working... and what the student demand is now.  We just need to keep building the athletic support.

BTW... my big mouth got "thebullspen.com" a nice plug in the article.... ha

Rows T-V were about half empty, until the UCF student over-flow made there way into our seats. I saw about 10 greeks in letters all game. Either way we won't have to worry about this until 08, unless they decided to do it for FAU????

they could handle all fo this online using a system that records who wants to be on the lottery list (limit of two tickets) and then doing a random selection of those who signed up that way. If the number interested doesn't exceed the number entered-- EVERYONE gets their tickets. Anything left over can be sold to groups (IFC, Surf Club-- whatever) perhaps.

Who the hell needs a line?

Actually, UCF's new stadium will hold 45,000 fans.

However, add even MORE UCF students to the mix (game being held on-campus), more UCF season tix holders...a lot more USF interest in traveling over for the game (those that were there for the first trip to O-Town...most enjoyed it...and those that are jealous they weren't there in person...will try and go next time)...one can see a sold-out game well in advance.

Plus...USF probably won't have to hold a tailgate party 2 plus miles away from the stadium...so even the tailgating should be a lot better on-campus...with tons more things to do (new restaurant/retail complex located near the stadium at the new Convocation Center, UCF's student union, etc...)

Being a USF Booster will probably come in handy for the game in 2008....just like how UCF has to divy up road tix to mid-level Boosters only (some saved for students) for our games at UF, USC, etc...as even small level boosters and all season tix holders who aren't boosters...were left on the outside looking in.

With a more compact, enclosed stadium in 2008...the noise & excitement from all the fans & bands will ONLY go up (sadly, most of USF's tix will probably be located in the end zone...vs getting some sideline tix & corner end zone tix to this past game...as UCF's new stadium will only have 45 rows of seats...vs 67 rows of sideline seats that the Citrus Bowl currently has...it will push UCF season tix holders and students around more...and fill in most sideline sections (even the HOT East Side stands that UCF fans hate) well before the start of the season.

That will be key in the future....a lot of people would have been left standing outside at the UCF game given a sized down stadium.  We will not have access to mass tickets in the new stadium.  Priority WILL go to Boosters....guaranteed.

As they should...since its the Boosters that are paying for most of the freight.

This is nothing new to most large football programs, especially those that travel well to popular games.

If you want road game tix...one normally has to be a mid-high level booster just to have the opportunity to buy them.

Friend of mine has been a UF Booster for almost 20 years...still has never qualified to Georgia Tix yet.

USF's Booster Club can use supply/demand of road tix a little more in the future...as interest in USF/UL grows...and as long as UL doesn't expand their stadium...tix to that game might get tight for USF fans...along with the UCF Game, etc...

When USF finally plays at Florida Field in a few years...again...only boosters and a handful of students will get "official" tix through USF (always ways to find SOME tix).

Getting road game priority tix...is a nice booster benefit (if needed).

Just another reason to take a long hard look at how/if we proceed with this series after 2008 ....... Probably 5K or so USF fans will be in the stands at UCF while there'll be the 10K to 15K UCFers at RayJay. Don't know many legtitmate, geographically close rivalries that have that kind of inequity.
