The wave is worthwhile... the problem is that it can only start when there is a stoppage in play.  I saw several times the students trying to start a wave between plays... but the fans were watching the game instead.

The wave is GREAT at getting the fans into the game... getting them to make some noise... but it has to be done during the change of possession when our opponent get's the ball.

But people booed the McNeese fans - who actually did the wave - like they were Louisville.  It's fun to watch the wave go around and then boo when the visiting fans remain seated.  Now THAT is a USF tradition.

I'm always that guy that refuses to do the wave.  I'm more annoyed about that guy that tries to start the wave.  Just stand up and make noise on your own, you don't need to wait for the freakin' wave.

Side note, I'm also that guy that refuses to do the YMCA..........dumb song and dumber dance.  

If you're gay it might be fun to stay at the YMCA.  (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
