I'm not saying it was not MG's fault.  Just saying that the play call didn't help him in that spot. Now how about a pump fake and a go route next time... I believe the pump and go was the audible missed on the next iNT.

Penalties, miscues, and turnovers are our problem. Take away those, and we win by a lot more than 1 point. Remember we had 2 tds called back, and set up one of their tds with penalties. THATS A 21 POINT SWING. Is that Grothe's fault.

The defenders were able to drop back and had great coverage on our recievers. I think he made some timely decisions to run the ball. I also liked our 5 wide sets, I thought they were pretty effective. I liked the hurry up too. All in all FIU may be one of the fastest defenses we see all season long. I know some of you are worried about UCF, as am I, but remember, FIU's defense is WAY better. UCF should be somewhere in between FIU and McNeese. Ponton/Williams/Smith/Grothe should be able to run all over UCF and that will open up the passing game for our FRESHMAN QB. Remember this, game on the line, Grothe came through.......... PERIOD. I'm seeing alot of people trying to make something out nothing, Its the kid second college game, give him a break. Do ya'll think maybe FIU had a pretty decent defense. He's going to be ok, you rather they lost. Start talking positive for once. 8-) 8-)
