Guest
8-4, and a slightly more respectable bowl game than the Meineke Car Care.Sorry, the only way USF gets a "more respectable" bowl game would be to win the Big East... an 11-1 (6-1) USF might get the Sun Bowl (instead of the Gator Bowl)... but maybe not.McNeese State 41 - 10 (W) McNeese State W 41-10Florida International W@UCF W@Kansas ?Rutgers WConnecticut W @North Carolina W@Cincinnati WPittsburgh W Syracuse W@Louisville L@West Virginia L 10-2 or 9-3 and the Birmingham Bowl (Navy will get the Meineke Bowl slot that should go to USF).(WVU gets BCS, Louisville gets Sun Bowl, Pittsburgh gets International Bowl, Rutgers gets Texas/Houston Bowl). I understand that they'll switch off every other year (or something like that) but if the opportunity is there, what reasons would they have to not take a USF squad? Not to mention that Notre Dame wasn't that impressive against Georgia Tech, it's possible that Notre Dame is available... and the Gator Bowl would fall all overthemselves for the Irish.USF "might" get the Gator Bowl bid ... IF the Bulls can beat WVU and/or Louisville on the road. However, I don't see even a 10-2 USF team being selected over a Big 12 team at this point. They are not good. They're QB stuggled against NWern St, they allowed almost 300 yards total Offense, allowed NWern State to SCHOOL them in Time of Possession, etc. The only problem I can see us having is the fact that we are playing on the road.I think UCF and UNC will be MUCH more challenging games. Unfortunately UNC will probably come in 1-4 unless they can win @Miami, @Clemson or against Va Tech. However they will be much better than their 1-4 record and will have seen 3 of the top defenses in the country.UCF has this game circled and will put up a fight. Regardless of what happens at UF this weekend O'Leary has USF marked as the team to beat on his schedule. Not just for obvious reasons, but recruiting, etc will play big.
