wow, that really bites for L'ville.  Could this be our chance to beat the Cards up in L'ville.

Probably not. They still have enough weapons to run the table. We don't want to get in a shootout with them.

Hopefully (for his sake) he will heal and rehab, then still go pretty high in the Draft

But he might be able to get a medical redshirt and come back next year.

He's a 1st round pick and it's a broken bone, I think he goes regardless.

Like Willis McGahee?  McGahee's injury cost him quite a few picks... and Bush could go this year and be the 30th pick... or come back to UL and be the 1st pick overall.  There's a lot of money between those two spots.

mcgahee's was also 4 months later in the year then bush.  mcgahee wasn't available for any pre-draft camps at full speed.  bush would be. please they are a different type of back.

McGahee was also a tear of the ACL much different injury for a RB. A broken leg will cost him a few spots, but he's not returning I can almost guarentee it.

yea...for some reason i failed to mention that in my post.  but very true, an acl injury scares away NFL teams.  broken legs not so much.

Too bad. he seems like a great kid.

i hope UL bucks up and does well this year, they have replacements.

this could be bad for BE.

UL is snake bit!

Yeah Louisville not playing up to expectations could be bad for the league, but I  don't think people will really think "Oh Louisville couldn't win 10 games when their running back broke his leg? Losers." I think the Big East critics will be slightly more forgiving than that, but I do think that's far from a given.

And while the injury was nasty and it sucks to see, I'll be honest, a small part inside of me said "well, our chances in that game just improved."

Ya but destroying UK is no great feat, they have only 70 scholarships Illegal Recruiting) and a crappy coach. If UK wins 4 games this year they should throw a parade in Lexington.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
