Bulls Arrive Safely In Rome To Begin European Tour

ROME, Italy (August 13, 2006) -- The University of South Florida men's basketball travel party safely arrived in Rome Sunday morning, marking the start of the program's first-ever European tour.

The Bulls encountered little trouble in the group's trip from Tampa, which began early Saturday morning.  The 30-person travel party cleared customs in the mid-morning and immediately headed to the Colosseum for a two-hour tour.  

Following check in at the team's Rome headquarters in the afternoon, the group was finally awarded some time to rest before a meeting and dinner.  Monday morning marks an early start as the group heads to the Vatican at 7:30 a.m.

The squad's five-game schedule during the tour begins Monday afternoon at 4 p.m. local time when the team visits Rome Select at the Arena Altero Felice-Sports Center.

Anyone attempting to denigrate this team or its coach on this and future threads will be suspended.  It's all been heard before.  This is a trip to Italy for practice - to commence the hostility now is inappropriate and will be met with firm discipline.

Sorry to have to do this, but I do not want every thread regarding the trip to Italy to be infiltrated and ruined with the same rants we've heard since the first of the year.
