What a great way to help children in the area.  We do something like that in Pinellas County also.  Next time we are in Tampa we will bring some supplies.  Thanks for your effort!!!!!!

Every year I buy cases of crayons, glue, paper, pencils, notebooks, folders, etc, etc when they go on super sales at local store (late July, early Aug??)put them away and donate them to Tools for Schools the following June.  They go on sale just after T for S is finished.

It's a great cause and it will make you feel good when you contribute.

Heck, it could help some future "Leslie Stirrups" become eligible for admission to USF rather than going to JUCO

Kudos to Volunteer USF.

Pat, is USF  behind the Tools for Schools in Pinellas?  Is this something we need to bring up at the next board meeting?

Dan Sileo is a tool, can anyone bring him, likely he could help future Stirrups? Anyone know Delmon Young, Elijah Dukes? Warren Sapp?

Actually, as to Pinellas County I was referring to our Literacy Bags that we do as part of the Pinellas Reading Council.  Gene perhaps it is something we could explore as the students always need supplies.  Let us discuss it at the board meeting.

I gave a homeless guy on the street $2 last night because he said he wanted to get a beer. He also told me he was a performance test driver for BMW and that he needed to test drive my Z3 to make sure it was up to BMW's high standards... I passed on that offer, but I was taken in by his affection for a beer and passed him my last $2.

This is a fantastic cause.  Believe it or not, schools do NOT provide all of the essentials for children anymore.  "There's no money in the budget."  So crayons, glue, scissors, paper, spiral notebooks, etc. get provided by the teachers out of their own income.  Every year, applepj and I buy everything we can when it goes on sale because sure enough we run out halfway through the year.  I'm glad to see USF behind an effort like this!!!  GO BULLS!!!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
