The docs went in orthroscopically in 3 places... he was having trouble even buttoning his shirt before the surgery... He's still in a little pain, but he says it's well worth it. I was! In my opinion, I don't think you'll ever be the same, but being somewhat fixed is better than being broken down. My body never got back to where it was after the surgery. Since then, there is no problem with movement - just scars. And I've seen people with less burns that have lost full movememnt - DO REHAB !
