For 3 consecutive yrs how many people would be calling for the coaches head, how many signs would you see at RAY J, how many chants would you here during the games.

This does not happen at basketball because not as many people care about it at USF.

We would not even be discussing giving the football coach a 4th yr.

Again, very unfair in the way you worded your post. Year 1 was bad, as was expected with the player transfers and dismissals. Year 2 was better, capped off by 3 nice wins at the end of the season, with 2 wins over Top 25 teams. We knew this year was going to be difficult before injuries, the dismissal of a player and the death of a player. Yes, losing has sucked badly this year, but Coach McCullum will turn it around next season. It's a shame that there is no patience and common sense among you "dark siders".

why wait until  there is a collapse

make the change when needed NOT WHEN YOU HAVE TO

it will end bad with leavitt/smith at the helm?

Hey USFMike, Jewbull is saying a lot of true things, everyone on this board calls for Leavitts head for this or that but you won't allow someone to call for RMC, you need to go back to school and see how it is to be a student at a school who's team is horrible bc the coach can't win a game.  Even if you give this guy talent, he won't produce it, he'll run them off bc their hat is on backwards or something.  You don't know what your talking about.

Maybe you were engaging in a bit of hyperbole, but I have never called for Leavitt's head.  I appreciate the enormous success that he has brought to our program and I don't think I could do better.  

This is a passion and patience issue.  I love the passion of the fans here, but their patience needs to develop.  We are wanting to be big time so badly that we don't want to wait for it.  It could be Leavitt's fault in that he falsely taught  us that unexpected success does not have to be something we have to wait for.  I guess I could fault him for that.

We'll get there.  But I am proud of where we have been and who led us there.
