Thanks for posting Cyg.  Interesting perspective on the entire league.

3. South Florida

The class is heavy on ... The defensive line. Eight prospects were brought in with the strength in the tackles with Leslie Stirrups and JUCO transfer Frank Harry needing to make an impact right away. The ends might not be sure things outside of Craig Marshall, but there are some great athletes who should get into the backfield once they figure out what they're doing.

The player who'll someday be a really big deal ... QB Alwan Lee

The player you might care about this year ... DT Frank Harry

What it all means to the real world of college football ... If you're looking for someone to step in to replace RB Andre Hall, he's not coming from this class. However, the pressure should be on QB Pat Julmiste with Alwan Lee and Nate Allen talented enough to get a few looks for backup spots this off-season. The strength of the class is the defense with enough prospects and possibilities to hope for big things in a few years. This class should solidify South Florida as a player in the Big East race for years to come.

Yeah, the ones that don't know a thing about recruiting and just look at number of Stars and nothing else!

based on their assessment of our RB position and backup QB position, they didnt do their homework and therefore their opinion doesnt mean much to me.

Is  Alwan Lee worth us talking about?

I haven't heard much chatter on him.

According to Mazza, he is only 3 star and came to USF, he must suck! ;D

CFN just uses the recruiting services to determine their rankings. the only thing they do different is look at if positions were filled where needed and not the overall talent of the class like the recruiting services do.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
