We should have brought in Werner, but that wouldn't have brought us Schaeffer.

He was comfortable in the SEC. That was his reasoning, had nothing to do with UT, but the territory.

he had said several times he desired to compete in the SEC again to play against UT, to show them they made a mistake.  I think last year's performance should have been enough evidence they made a mistake...

That was one of the stipulations when Tennessee agreed to let him go.  I believe they didn't want to face Shaeffer in his college career so he went to Ole Miss where it wouldn't happen.  I never knew they had that kind of pull, but they wouldn't sign his release otherwise.

Universities typically will only release a player to a team that they do not play during that player's college career.  It happens all the time, and they have that power because the player signed with them.

cb posts-rod smith hasn't had a real qb to develop until this year....

FUNNY HILL WAS CONSIDERED A GREAT QB IN HIGH SCHOOL

cee- leavitt is a child compared to  ed O when it comes to recruiting

if ed o was at usf we would be competing with big3 for their recruits

Do you really think that a coach can talk any kid into going to his school? I guess Ole Miss will win 4 championships because of their great florida recruits according to your illogic.

And by the way Carlton Hill was recruited as an athlete, who played QB in high school. By no way its rod smiths fault, and any other OC would have had the same problem this year.

nuke postsDo you really think that a coach can talk any kid into going to his school?

well, yeah.look what old miss coach has done in two years.you are behind the times my man. ed  O is one of the best recruiters in  USA.

of course it  can be the coach!

where have you been?

ever hear of marv goux? i thought not.

old miss will become A PLAYER IN  sec if ed O stays there.I say ed O will get tons of offers to go to better places but if he stays old miss will be a player

they could kick usf's butt right now

ed O and staff can out recruit usf for florida players.that should be a concern but you nuke like other usf fans think every thing is fine.

Everyone can recruit Florida, I grew up here and there are a lot of kids who want to leave the state no matter what. The problem is that USF does not pick up talent outside of Florida. Your faorite player Pat white is from Bama. UM made their mark by recruiting outside of state and getting some good talent to stay home.
