It seems like with every passing (no pun intended) hour there is less of a chance of Rod being relieved of his duties.....

Seriously, I'm logging on like every 30 minutes since Jan 1 to see the headline "Rod Smith Fired".

Do you really thing if there was going to be a change, that we would announce it BEFORE the recruiting signing date?  

You could look at it as a message to recruits that we aren't going to accept last year's offense... but I'd bet the sign of instability of firing a first year OC would be just as, or more, damaging.

I think um's firings will hurt recruiting very much.

I think UM will lose a few recruits, but not many. Their branding is so strong that it really doesn't matter who their OC is to most highschool kids.
