JL was never contacted by Kansas and why do you guys think there is a "BUYOUT" clause in almost every BCS head coaches contract.  If JL was about the money he would have left USF a long time ago and if you cann't see that then you are dummer then  the guy that believes Chuck Shummer hasn't made up his mind on how he will vote for Alito.

But that's one of the main reasons why Leavitt and his attorney waited almost 11 months last time to sign his contract.

Leavitt and his attorney pushed for and got a very LOW buyout (only $50,000) so Leavitt could easily get more offers for better $$$$ in the future.

It worked.

As many Bull fans noted at the time...a Coach really isn't interested or believe in his current contract if a buyout is only $50,000 (not even a week's pay at a top job).

Leavitt used that tool to his advantage bigtime and it worked.

He had a smart Lawyer...sure it wasn't smazza who wrote it?

KL

PS. Believe USF's lawyer was the one who was duped.

really ?  So far they haven't matched one offer.  USF has been at least 30% under all the contract offers per the news media.
