He said "Winning is the standard started by Golesh", which is fine if your focus is totally on football/basketball. The sports in Athletics outside those two have been doing a pretty good job with this winning thing so the smart move is to keep this "not the same old USF" mantra to the two most visible sports.

Football is really the only sport that matters for power  TV Contracts.

Baseball has sucked for several years un a row. They aren't winners under Mohl overall. Winning is the exception for baseball.

Baseball has had 2 poor seasons after winning the regional championship under Mohl.   Baseball has been to the regionals 4 times in the past 8 full seasons (2 of Mohl's 5 full seasons and the only regional championship in program history under Mohl).   By comparison, baseball has been to the regionals a total of 10 times in the programs first 48 years.

That is great.  Still doesn't change the fact baseball has lost more games than it wins under mohl. You can be a winning coach, when  you have lost more games than you won.

Dude you've gotta give it up. Baseball since Billy was hired has been a loser, outside of ONE postseason which we are all grateful for (also made the regional his first season as coach, so we can count that one). That super regional season we went 14-14 in conference play, finished 6th, then ended up winning the tournament which was our only way to get into a regional. He's been to regionals twice, and finished last in the conference 3 times and the overall regression line is negative, which means we are getting worse.

First year, second in conference (14-9-1), regional appearance, 34-26-1 overall

Second year, 8-16, last in conference, 26-27 overall

Third year, COVID year, no conference play, 6-11 overall

Fourth year, sixth in conference, 14-14, super regional (first ever, super cool), 31-30 overall

Fifth year, last in conference, 8-16, 28-29 overall

Sixth year, last in conference, 7-17, 21-39 overall

This year, currently 7-5 in conference sitting in third, 21-16 overall. Looks better than previous years and hopefully we can catch fire again. Unfortunately "catching fire" is the only hope for CBM lead squads at USF. They just aren't coached well.

All that said, Bulls Tennis vs #1 seed Memphis today at 3pm. I think these should be on ESPN+, so tune in (same with Women's tennis at 1pm against Rice).

They've got a good fanbase. Similar to USF, if they get everything aligned, they can be a problem in football and basketball.
