I don’t know the factors that went into this decision, but I have to disagree with it. Watch Tom Crean’s commentary about schools opting out that at the end of the NIT selection show - he says it better than I ever could.

The WNIT and the NIT are 2 different animals, if I’m understanding things correctly.

WNIT is now equivalent to men’s CBI. I believe pay to play.

The reason could be due to the coaching staff taking the week to start recruiting heavily through the portal. It looks like we already have 2 bigs in the portal, leaving us with just Mputu.
