Oliver seems small - 6'0 175?  He's my size and I'm not a big guy.  This guy is Denson's size and to me his biggest shortcoming (no pun intended) was his inability to see over the O-line.

He wasn't highly recruited, I believe a 2 Star. JUCOs can be hot or miss, I haven't seen anything of him to actually evaluate.

Actually, Josh called him the morning after, not on the eve of.

It is the eve of early signing day- tomorrow.  Imagine the day before a big decision and you've got 3-4 different people calling you none stop to sway the decision you're preparing to make in 24 hours.

We'll know over the next 48 hours.

Luckily,  those who say 6 foot is too short did not mind having 5 foot 11 Marquel Blackwell  QB the team.  Below is an article about Jimmy Oliver.

He threw for over 6,300 yards and 67 TD's on a 59% completion percentage on a Poplarville team that had three OL that are BCS recruits, and the entire OL averaged over 6-4 300lbs.  For being small he's might prolific, this isn't like some HS kid that's listed at 6-0 and most of his HS OL are lucky to be taller than 6-0 and slow as mollasses to it's easy to throw around them, ala Alwan Lee, Oliver is a real 6ft and he's become accustom to operating around big linemen already and proven to be quite proficient at it.

For the first time I feel like we'll have actual real insurance at the QB position.  We've got all these young athletes but I believe Oliver can be that guy who could play solid in a pinch.
