I know you're joking and no coach would literally coast through the season, but there is some truth to this.   It was obvious that we were pitching thin after the 1st week of the season and became more obvious in the next couple of weeks.   So coaching them up and putting the best staff and line up possible in place to get ready of the conference tournament was the play.  Started coming together when conference play kicked in and then Brown went down.  Now our strength (hitting) has carried us through 2 games and got enough pitching in G1 to win and got the big lead in G2.   

Contrary to popular belief the run 2 years ago wasn't a fluke, it was a team peaking at the right time.   Obviously not going to work every year and one could argue the sustainability

Grause's performance (and Gailey) before is huge if we finish it.   Everyone will be ready for Saturday assuming Brown came out of the other night OK.

13-3 now. Runner on 2nd, only 1 out. Really need to close this one out and not risk having to play 2 more innings.
