I just noticed Carl Franks is one of the USF assistants.  I saw him up close for a few years when he was at Duke.  Always thought he was a pretty decent coach but he was at Duke, and nobody wins at Duke (except Spurrier).  They always played NC State pretty tough.  

I see he is running backs coach and recruiting coordinator.  Seems like you guys have a pretty good running game.  What are USF fans impressions on Franks?

Almost all of us think he should be our offensive coordinator.  His recruiting efforts, though, have been OUTSTANDING.

He has been great at bringing in some talented running backs.  Hall had a monster two years, but Ponton could be even better.  Chad Simpson could be the next Warrick Dunn.  We have a great RB from Largo HS coming next year, too.

If Greg Frey can restock the offensive line.  USF should continue to dominate in the running game.

Want him to become the offensive coordinator and bring in a real QB coach.

Still holding out hope that maybe it's Barnhardt, he was a GA this season.

Include me in that list.  Even our younger backs have grown quickly under him.  He and the OL coach both deserve it far more than Smith!
