  1. Okay, your Bucs got my Panthers for the division title, but we can still meet in the NFC Championship. Both put the beatdown on the other on the road, maybe the rubber match is necessary.
  2. I just wish I could have been in the stadium period before kickoff, much less seen crappy pre-game festivities. For those who were in CLT, I was one of the ones looking pissed off waiting in the mile-long will call line for NC State. Now that was a disaster. Been nice chatting with you USF fans. Good luck in the Big East next season. You have some rabid fans and seem to be on the right track with your program.
  3. Very true. I've heard quite a few UNC and Wake Forest fans will be in green at BoA Stadium. That's good...if you guys don't mind having probably the two most arrogant fanbases in the ACC on your side.
  4. You guys could hire a Duke or UNC assistant...that is, if you don't mind selling your souls to the devil like they previously have.
  5. ^ Home of the 2005 D-1AA national champs...just gotta give some props to Appalachian St. Good skiing up there...for NC. Weather now says 63 and rain. Take the rain part out and that's perfect weather.
  6. That's what NC State fans have felt for the past two years, also, but we didn't get it done with Philip Rivers and top 25 recruiting classes so I'm not sure (well, one 10-3 season). The most disheartening thing about NC State over the past couple years is not the poor QB play, but the penalties and dumb play. The fans have been hard on Amato because five or six straight years of top 25 recruiting classes, millions of dollars worth of upgrades in stadium facilities and a huge boom in fan support has equated to 12-12 in the past two seasons.
  7. Couldn't agree more. From what I've read on here about Julmiste, and what I have seen from our QBs, it'll also come down to which QB protects the ball better. I've seen enough drive-killing interceptions on the opponent's end of the field already this year. How has USF's special teams played this year?
  8. I'll take 54 and partly cloudy for Charlotte in late December. Be even nicer if there were no clouds (as long as the sun is behind the NC State side )
  9. Our d-line is most definitely the strength of our defense, particularly the ends. Both Mario Williams (6'7'' 290) and Manny Lawson (6'6'' 265) have great size and are best in pass rushing situations. State will be getting their best DT back for the bowl game in John McCargo. Williams, Lawson and McCargo are projected to be 1-2 round picks in the draft. Tank Tyler and DeMario Presley are the other DT's. Tank is our immovable inside lineman while Presley is the quicker/faster of the two. As for the O-line, well, I'm not as confident in this unit. They've played well in spurts, but overall have been average at best. If USF has speed rushers, State may be in trouble.
  10. It wasn't too bad, actually. Ice covered roads for a few hours this morning...all melted now. Should all be gone by tomorrow, unless we get more tonight.
  11. Word is that he really likes our offensive coordinator. It was down to NC State and Tennessee two years ago, we thought we had him, and he went to Tennessee. He seems pretty adamant about playing in the SEC, so I hope he doesn't do it again. I think it's going to be a signing day announcement unfortunately. Just curious, which school between F$U, Miami and Florida do most USF fans dislike most?
  12. ECU fans are a sad, sad group. And they also think they should be in the ACC, too. No matter how many times NC State, UNC, Wake Forest and Duke beats them in anything, they will bring up that one time years ago to validate their teams. The 52-14 (football) and thirty plus point (basketball) beat downs we put on them last year has quieted them for now.
  13. Heard that, too. Bill Plaschke (sp?) is the worst one on that show. I thought that before I heard this. He just confirmed that today.
  14. I think our game has a chance to be the most competitive. Neither team will likely put up a lot of points on the other's defense, so it should be close. I really believe all the Big East teams will be in every game in contrast to what a lot of "experts" are predicting.
  15. Well, NC State wasn't much better with penalties. We were flat out terrible in the first half of the season (ranked second to last at one point), then seemed to get them under control somewhat toward the end. The more I hear about USF, the more similar our teams appear.
