I didn't save mine either.  I remember purchasing tickets at a music store on Dale Mabry that morning.  I think it was Spec's Music.  I couldn't find anyone that wanted to go, so I brought my 11 year old nephew.  We were about 2 rows from the top of the Sombrero in the corner, but it was a great night to be a USF fan.

There are probably other firsts... but this was a quick list.

You could throw the first game at Raymond James on there, as well as first game against a BCS school (@ Kentucky), first win over a BCS team (@ Pitt), first win against a bowl team (again @ Pitt).  

I was at the first game, first game vs. I-A (@ SD State), @ Bama, @ Penn State, @ Miami and I'll be at the first bowl game, too.

I was at the first USF basketbull game in December of 1970. We had a freshman only team and played jv teams and junior college teams throughout the state of Florida. I was one of about 5,000 as we beat the UF jayvee team at Curtis Hixon Hall in Tampa. We won 84-73. We went 19-4 that first year. I wish  I was at the first footbull game.
