Guys, I dont know about you, but this bowl is in a reasonable driving distance...once I saw how expensive it is to fly Im going to drive...SOme of you guys should carpool up there or something...rent a van, split gas costs...Its about an 8 hour drive...definetly better than Detroit!

I don't want to stay New Year's Eve. I just want to fly in late Friday afternoon and get the heck out of there after the game. I guess I am asking too much. Oh well, when we don't sell out our allotment, don't blame folks like me.

IMHO, this is really lame package selection.

dear god, how old are you?? it is probably cheaper for you to look around and find your own flight, hotel room, etc than it is to buy the packages anyways.  the purpose of bowl games is to go and enjoy the festivities, not fly in an hour before the game and fly out the same day

Crazy thought........it'll never happen but....

What if the athletic department somehow reasoned that if they invested in supplimenting travel to Charlotte for USF fans to get as many up there as possibe the larger turnout COULD pay bigger dividends in the near future in better bowl bids because we'd show considerably larger travel numbers this year.  I may be crazy, but what if I'm right!

Good morning!

I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about bowl travel . . . you can either post them here or email me at vmitchel@admin.usf.edu.

Regarding the possibility of an up and back trip, we did look at that option, and it will cost approximately $1000 per person.  The air fare, whether commercial or charter, is very expensive. If we get 137 people interested in that option, we will add it.  If you have interest, please email me at the address above.

Hope you'll all plan to be there, whether you travel on one of our packages or make your own plans.

GO BULLS!

Vicki Mitchell

Have you seen the price of flights to Charlotte? WTF  :P

It use to be cheap to fly to Charlotte.

Here's my thinking.. the number 1 goal should be to get as many USF backers to the game. Screw the rest of the BS stuff. Get the butts in the seats first. So we ought to have one bargain package that charters a flight to and from the game with minimum overhead and minimum cost.  That's how I'd do it anyway.

$179 ......... "Leave the driving to us".

$450 from Phoenix E.T. - I'll be taking up a collection for beer money (or just hanging out with you!)...   ;D

It'll be about a $3000 three day trip for the wife and I (with 8-9 of those hours in the air), but it is a trip I have looked forward to for almost 10 years.  No regrets here!!!

I look forward to the experience.
