USF signs Leavitt through 2012

Okay, signed the same coach that allowed the team to have what was probably the BIGGEST letdown in the history of the football team less than a week ago, to a multi-year contract extension - and everyone is happy?

Interesting...

There's no doubt the UConn game was a bummer but, so was the Louisville game (for UL fans.)

We were picked to finish 7th, we may end up 2nd and in a bowl.  Hard to consider that failure (in our first year no less) in the Big East.

Great news...I hope this shows that the University is whole heartedly committed to the football program and dont get cheap when it comes to coordinator and assistant positions.  And I hope CJL realizes that a change needs to be made.  All in all it is a good day in Bull Nation.

why give him an extension after all the nonsense with not recruting a qb and  all of the underachieving

Not recruiting a QB?!?  Do you even keep up with recruiting?  Here's a quick education on the QB's we've recruited over the past 3-4 years.  

Adrian Mcpherson (Choose half-ass-U)

Courtney Denson (came to his sesnes after a year with Auburn)

Cornelius Ingram (the only player we went after and didn't get that year)

Carlton Hill (we finally landed a top one after getting into a BCS conference)

Grant Gregory (another big-name transfer).

Don't tell me Leavitt hasn't recruited good QB's...

As USFCollin said ... take $25 and join SBC! There is a general meeting tomorrow which is thursday at 5 PM in the BIG EAST room. Head softball coach Ken Erickson will be speaking and we will be giving a guided tour of the building. If you aren't a member, come tot eh meeting and meet everyone! The students are the most important part of college athletics and we need all the student support we can get! It's only $25 also.

What do you get with your $25 you ask?

- 2 Bullies shirts (Green and Gold)

- 1 Student Bulls Club Shirt

- Oppertunities to go to exclusive tailgates and parties

-  Free food all the time!

-  interaction with coaches and player

- And much much more!

If you need more insentive to join, then i'm gonna be honest, you just suck!

Is it possible to join this club as an alumni? Do I have to take a token class or something? It's worth it just for the shirts and membership card (well I assume there is a card).

I'd be willing to give $50 (double the fee) to get my hands on those shirts alone and to say I was a member of such a fine organization. Seriously.

We didn't have such an outlet for student-fan support back in 19 and 89 or even 19 and 92 (the last years of my undergrad & graduate studies).

I can't imagine not being a part of such a fine institution.

I have not read this entire thread, just the last page...only because I am absolutley ecstatic we were able to show such promise as a legit BCS school by re-signing the Granddaddy of football at USF.

I don't want anyone to ruin it for me.

if we beat WVU, he'll change his tune (slightly)

or he'll switch his criticism to the men's basketball squad.

that's just how he rolls-- like it or not. We could use his donation again. We've got bills to pay.
