Like Rutgers teams, right?

I would take that situation again In a heartbeat. A game that matters nationally against Rutgers. It took bad officiating and trick plays by Rutgers to pull off the upset in where they stormed the field. Leavitt is a legend in my book just by realizing how big that game was. I would take that back in a heartbeat

We were screwed by that overturned fumble for a TD before half. 🤬

Win or lose USF football had energy, passion, intensity, and  sustained success under Leavitt then all the other USF coaches combined.  Outside of a few seasons with Flowers the excitement has not been there with USF football without Leavitt. You knew every game with him you had a fighters chance to win and the players would give it their all.

I miss those days. We had some of that with Holtz until he pissed it all away with weakness

That team had heart … and NFL players.

Can I interest you in 31-0?

That was the beginning of the end of his time here.

I was at both those games and that fumble forward call just deflated our crowd, which was pretty large for a game up there.

Yes and a true swagger with direction.

The most creative officiating I’ve ever seen, although the second and third most creative occurred in the same game.

And we have not even started talking how bad the officiating was when USF played against Arkansas.
