I'm amazed this is even a topic of conversation. No one has ever said that Boyles and Grier are the best LB pair in the history of USF, but these 2 have busted their a$$es over the last few years. You are so right in pointing out the unfairness in insinuating that Boyles is overrated.

Having been a fan since '02, I'm not prepared to put Boyles anywhere near the level of some of the great LBs we've had play here. That said, Boyles has 100 percent been held back by Glenn Spencer's BS passive defensive scheme. If Shoop really does bring a more aggressive style to the defense, I think Boyles turns a lot of heads this season.
