This is a local boy that would be the biggest get for Mohl if he could bring him home . . .

Any idea why he would move after a single season?

Yeah... that's why kids go to UF instead of USF to play baseball.

Speculation is playing time. He was the #1 3B coming out of HS and NC State hadn't fully committed to him playing there. His bat as even an average defensive 3B makes him a lot more money in the draft than as a 1B or DH. The frontrunner from what I've come across is FSU.

I actually meant that as an answer to Brad’s question about why he was leaving NC State after one season.

I’m sure he’s not coming to us, but I’m certain Carmine Lane would be happy to move to short if he wants to play 3B. If a guy hits 27 HR as a freshman, he can play wherever he wants on my team.  🙂

Sorry about that.

I think he's going to have the chance to play 3B for just about any team in the country. I'm with you.

Would be nice, but see him ending up at FSU or Miami

We’re a year late. If we were coming off a Super Regional this year, you’d have to think we’d be in a pretty good position to make a run at him.
