You began with lumping in ACC programs with National Championships who won them when they were not in the ACC. I also did the same with TCU, who did not win their National Championship in the Big XII.

The Big XII formed in in 1994 and began play in 1996, so the only fair way to compare the 2 leagues is to start from that point. The Big XII has had 3 programs win the National Championship and the ACC has had 2.

There is no argument about deranged WVU fan. As long as FSU and Clemson (Miami to a lesser extent) remain in the ACC they are the better league than the Big XII once Texas and Oklahoma depart.

I'm just comparing the quality of the programs in each conference as they will exist next year when programs finish their moves.

Don't care about the history of the conference. what nebraska did in the 90's has nothing to do with how good the big 16 is today. only the history of the programs that will be in them next year matter.

It's not even close.

FSU, Clemson, Notre Dame, Miami, G Tech, Pitt  is worlds better than BYU and Colorado football wise.

I'll even throw in what TCU did in the 30's if it makes you happy. Heck put ucf's national championship in there too

Still not close.

that doesn't even consider basketball. Duke, UNC, Syracuse....

You missed that by a long shot............ACC is number 5/6 and XII is number 1 BB conference per any number of media outlets

Conference USA, the Mountain West and the Big Ten are all having better years than usual in men's college basketball in 2022-23, but everyone is fighting for...

not sure what an opinion piece matters.

I'm talking about quality of the programs within the conferences after the moves are finished not how good the conferences were considered last year.

I would say it's closer basketball wise as football quality is miles apart

TCU lost to a Colorado team that went 1-11 last season.

Pick any media outlet using any metric not opinions and in BB it isn't even really a debate

ACC > big 12. Hopefully USF gets that ACC invite if not USF may have to settle for a big 12 invite comes

I didn't say anything about who was considered better last year.

total number of mens basketball championships according to chat gpt

ACC - 17

Big 16 - 5

I'm sure those numbers could be off but not by 12

face it, the big 16 is nowhere near the ACC in quality programs in either football or basketball.

Now let's talk academics....lol

Plus we are going to probably see the ACC eventually raid big 12 to help bridge the travel for SMU, Cal, Stanford. So I won’t be surprised to see Kansas heading to ACC.

The Big 12 would need to misstep at the same level the PAC just did for that to happen. Especially since it seems like destiny for at least Clemson, FSU, and UNC to leave as soon as the GOR permits.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
