No. That's the number for the conference as a whole.

You read it correctly, but unfortunately, the Times report is incorrect. charsibb is correct -- that's the amount for the entire conference. Yay for fact checking.

ESPN guy suggesting BYU/Big 12 talking (they never stopped). Most think this is last discussion before BYU possibly heads to NBE.

Other thread had BYU getting $4 mil from ESPN. If this is the case the NBE deal would need to be $6-8 mil with ESPN, for BYU to be able to make a move.

I am skeptical BYU joins the Big East, especially when they can still join the Big 12.

I dont think BYU can join Big 12 yet, and might be looking at NBE in mean time.

11&12 still seems to be FSU and Miami if it goes to 16 BYU and Boise has a shot

If I recall, the major issue with BYU was that they wanted their own TV deal and to not play sports on Sundays. I can't imagine that STILL not being an issue with them. Will the Big East or Big 12 be okay with that? We'll see.

Dont see BYU coming, But never know. I think when its done it will look like this:

All sports conference for all members: Two divisions. 16 teams (first confernce to 16 all members)

EAST

USF,UCF, UCONN, Temple, Navy, ECU, Cincy, (Memphis/Tulane)

West

SDSU, Boise, Houston, SMU, Tulane, Fresno, UNLV (Memphis/ Tulane)

If FRESNO or UNLV dont come as many expect or others leave I expect to see us get Army, Airforce, UMass, Nevada or BYU to fill the holes.

FB championship will be at higher seed or rotate East/West every other year at teams home stadium.( No netural site)

BB Tourney could be played all over the county really when you look at the cities and teams in the new conference. If we lose the Garden. Bid it out to cities every 2- 3 years.
