WANTED: Offensive coordinator Rod Smith was named as a potential candidate for the Buffalo Bulls head coaching job, a story in the Buffalo News reported Thursday.

Current Buffalo coach Jim Hofher will finish the season, but was told this week he won't return next season.

Other candidates listed included Florida co-defensive coordinator Charlie Strong and Miami defensive coordinator Randy Shannon.

really don't see either of these two going to a lower teir school.

There would be bigger openings for them or they will stay where they're at.

Buffalo is such a beautiful city... why would Rod want to stay in Tampa? We're a commuter school... Buffalo supports their football team. Thanks for being part of our program Rod... we'll miss you.
