Tampa doesnt have control of what games are on tv...thats decided by the Big East and ESPN. some ooc games have been on fox sports net and regional networks but all conference games are at the mercy of the Big East brass

Tampa is not the only one to blame, but I could certainly make a case for supply and demand, if Tampa residents would get out and support this team and sell out Ray Jay and show a demand for USF Football you better believe the games would be televised.  This team has been around for nearly 10 years, is a D1-A BCS Football team and cannot get widespread support from the locals or even the local media for the most part.  This is one of the largets cities in the country and one of the largest television markets and we cant even get the local Football teams games televised, ridiculous.

is it up to the home team or road team to get the game televised?

I would think it lies on the home team....but not really sure.

I posted this on the other thread:

Man, weren't you guys complaining last year about mid-week, televised games?  Well, you got your wish.  We have no mid-week, televised games.

I personally have no problems with mid week games.  They're great.  Plus the whole nation gets to see USF as it's the only game on TV.

Is this game on in Syracuse at all?  If so maybe a "Springbox" could be rigged to broadcast this back to FL on a computer.  Anyone know?

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
