Im thinking it'll be a bit better but im not counting on the big tourney. A lot of it depends on our pitching staff (as usual) Sullivan should be Friday unless this JUCO we got, Conner Churchill is awesome. IDK, im guessing him being #2 and #3 Dylan Burns being the other and Baron Stuart being mid-week guy. We do get back Ragsdale and I'll guess he's going to close, also coming back is Hoffman which should be a big middle relief. The infield is more settled this year, obviously Genord is gone but Jake Sullivan @ C, Dylan Buck @ 3B, Jordan Santos/Nick Gonzalez @ SS, JD Dutka should be back @ 2b, not sure who will play 1b Outfield is up in the air, with Phillips, Chatfield and Zech all gone. Bodrato played some RF, last year but thats is all i can remember., maybe Schrepf played out there as well? Nothing else is really known about the new guys. There's a FR, Daniel Cantu, who plays OF so maybe he will start out there, Idk about the other perhaps a Santos/Gonzalez will move out to CF? So in all, pitching staff should be more stable this year with another off season of work (should being the key word) Obviously we have lost a ton of hitting over the past two years so that all needs to improve but usually second year guys do make big strides. My key questions are who plays in the OF, who plays 1B/DH , also curious if the plan is to have Rags close, Also would be curious to see if there is any interest in seeing if an opener can be a successful in the NCAAs as it is in MLB. Long answer to a short question, look for another .500 season but in-conference play improves and we definitely should make the AAC tourney-not really going out on a limb there. Might struggle a bit OOC with UF and Northwestern on the schedule but as usual we get the benefit of basically a season long home stand. Highly unlikely we go out of state to play before the trip to Houston at the end of March

One of the teams pulled out so they are looking for another. Might be a awesome way to start the season with a 3 gm tourney in Atlanta, followed by a quick trip down to Tally and FAMU on that Monday. Not saying I have any info or facts that say we will play there, it just makes sense logistically. And how many mid week games do we schedule on a Monday? "Atlanta Challenge: We have a last minute opening. One game vs Georgia Tech, Georgia State and Kennesaw State each respectively on the weekend. 15 Hotel rooms and Large Guarantee Offered. Please Contact Georgia State head coach Brad Stromdahl at 404 290 1743 or bstromdahl@gsu.edu for more information. Looks like they have santos listed as a Catcher/infielder/outfielder so he may make a move out there.

Same as football, I think we all would like to see steady improvement from this team, but aren't expecting anything extraordinary. If we continue to digress or stay stagnant, will be interesting to see what kind of leash they give Coach Mohl.
