Apparently, ESPN360 is available during the game on both college campuses, providing the schools make the proper requests to ESPN. Still waiting for a few callbacks before I put anything in the paper ...

greg

so I guess this is our final thread of hope? Any chance the school will have some sort of watch party for this?

If Colleges have access to ESPN 360... then that means it is possible to get this on campus?  There is a big screen on campus (Marshal Ctr - Basement - Pool hall)

That's what confused me also so I spent about an hour with aol and another hour with brighthouse yesterday trying to figure that out. First off neither of them had even heard of espn360 and I had been moved up to the top level of support for both companies. Also, neither one of them had heard of anyone ever having to require the isp to provide the site in this way...I think I spent 20 minutes just trying to explain it to them and it wasn't until they finally checked the site out till they believed me. Of course they still had no clue what espn was doing. Just a bunch of crap!

Multicasting.

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/cisintwk/ito_doc/ipmulti.htm is a good explanation. Basically, an ISP's routers have to be set up to handle the multicasting, and apparently Verizon's not willing to make that happen.

I emailed someone in the Marshall Center, head of the SG Business Office.

I'd encourage anyone else with any contacts to try too.

I don't understand why they don't want to take the game plan money.  To be on 360, they have to have cameras at the game - correct?  So why not put it on GP and take our money?
