I wasnt at the game due to prior commitments, and I know I'm a bit late on this topic, but did students really get tazered on the field for rushing?  I just cant believe this happened.  I remember 2 years ago and we beat L'ville in 2OT that we rushed the field.  It's just those greedy Glazers who want to keep us off of the precious field.

Bubbles and I were talking about this and although I didn't see anyone doing the 50,000 volt Macarena, I don't really mind too much if he did. Now before all of you bleeding hearts get your panties in a wad, just shaddup and listen. Everybody, and I mean Everybody knows that what the students did was wrong. There were some Jackasses in our section trying to rip down the BULLS banners so they can "Have a souviner" to take back to N.C. for piss sake. If I had a Tazer I Woulda Zapped Them TOO!  It does our reputation NO GOOD looking like idiots. We should remain Classy and refrain from crapping in our own bed.

Tazering of the students filled me with such rage that I unloaded my M-240 into a burnt out Iraqi tank, felt much better about the whole situation after that.

You guys need to think of the TSA 'thugs' like bouncers.  They have every right to forcibly remove people.  You don't like it -- don't storm the field.

The morons who were caught deserved everything they got.

While bouncers are able to use reasonable restraint to deal with problem patrons there have been plenty of bouncers tried and convicted of battery for their actions. Reasonable restraint exists on sliding scale based upon the gravity of the situation and I doubt many people would argue (sans members of this board) that simply tresspassing attempting to avoid your attackers would be a grave situation.

On liability: TSA should be more than happy to allow the officers working details to engage in their policing, allowing untrained, unskilled labor to engage in police actions is a very quick way to be making a large out of court settlement to a young fan (with the number of officers there it simply does not make any sense to me ???)

Do the crime, do the time.  Stop whining about getting punished for breaking the rules.  Until there is an on-campus stadium, you have to obey the rules.  Fight back against the cops and you're going to get tasered or worse.  You act like this is owed to you or something.  It's a rule that everyone knows about, yet a few drunks have to challenge authority.

None of the students fought back. They were tackled like a player.

I'm glad to see in the paper this morning that they adopted my policy of letting the trained professionals, that they hire to work the game, handle police business instead of letting security handle it. I guess they do know a thing or two about liability.
