My wife and I are going to be in town Friday evening, ready to rock and roll.  Looking forward to a fun weekend!  We're driving up from the DC area and staying at the Holiday Inn nearby.  If there's a meeting place Friday night with some Bulls, we'll try to swing by.

You would be better off staying in Altoona which is where i'm from it's only a 45 minute drive to SC I do it every day.If you do stay in Harrisburg leave no later then 8:30 am cause the traffic will be bad and there is always road work

Is one city better than the other to be in Friday night as far as something to do?

Yeah probably Harrisburg it's a little bigger than Altoona,but being from Altoona there is some nice places plus it'll save you from all the really bad traffic and road work in the morning and cut your drive in half.I just think it's probably alot worse coming from Harrisburg.There is tons of bars in Altoona not sure about H-burg

Jewbull & Co. flying into Philly Friday morning and driving to State College, should be there about 500-600pm friday night, staying @ the Hilton for 2 nights.

Harrisburg is a much bigger city with alot more to do.  2nd street in down town harrisburg has alot of clubs and is a bar area like you will find in many large cities.  Alttona is more of a small town type place.  While Altoona is closer to state college, it is a much longer drive from baltimore.  Almost 3 hours compared to about 1:15 hour to harrisburg.  If you leave early you can make it to state college in about 1:45 minutes.

Are psu78 and psunut talking about the same place?  It sounds like one is saying altoona is a good spot and one is saying harrisburg is a good spot.  Oh well, we are going to altoona from Baltimore Friday night and we will find something to do!
