I NEVER said that we need to aspire our QB's to be like those teams. I was just pointing out that the comment on PJ being the worse QB in Div 1A was NOT CORRECT.

Was he bad, yes, but not the worst.

This was the FIRST full game scrimmage,i am concerned the QBs didnt do well BUT ill be really concerned if thats the case next week.

I think our QB's will be better than last year and one will step up. But we wont know until we start playing REAL GAMES.

USF does not need a QB to go out and win games... right now all USF needs is a QB that won't go out and lose it by throwing INTs or making bad passing decisions... Think the Bucs with Trent Dilfer -- they didn't get to the Super Bowl, but they did make the playoffs.

That is the mindset USF really needs right now.  If PJ can complete 58-60% of his passes, reduce his sacks, and throw fewer INTs - then PJ will suffice.

That should be one BIG...

This doesnt mean anything.  The coaching staff never tells the media anything.  Their comments are always noncommital.

RR was upset after the scrimmage Sat. Seems like thier are a lot of guys that are "soft" and not able to play at this level.

Overall the scrimmage was average, but it seems that thier is a lot of injuries and the guys are missing a lot of reps. Listening to Rod, you can sense a lot of frustration in his voice due to the little nagging injuries. He cant seem to even find 4 wideouts to practice! Some of the guys that were talking the talk, aren't walking the walk.

Leadership is still a concern, along with the injuries.

Most coaches do this. I would too. Lower the expectations of fans, as well as opponents and at the same time, motivate your players to do better.

It's OK to lower expectations AFTER we sell all our season tickets, not before. Let the buyer beware.  ;D

pj couldn't complete 60% if he was playing catch with another ballplayer

cubanbull- by game time it is too late too realize you picked the wrong qb.a good coach would find the right qb before game ONE

pj is not that qb, never was

why in the world is pj still allowed to play qb

i am baffled

julmiste had an ENTIRE year....with the best RB in the conference....and STILL couldnt complete anything.

with Andre Hall running behind you, the QB should be able to complete play action passes in his SLEEP.

Pat Julmiste is garbage and shouldnt even be in the CONVERSATION at QB.
