no big surprise

pj shold not have been in mix to give denson and hill more reps

or three way competion with grothe

hill should start

as soon as denson signed i was critical of him and now that he can't beat out pj as usual my insight was correct

we need new coaches

Guest BasketBull.

(this is not a response to the immediate post above.  ::) )

But at least this year we have a bevy of possible QBs and the coaches don't have to sugarcoat their comments.

If these three guys are not getting it done, why not give Grothe a chance? I think eliminating him from the competition is maybe a little premature.

Where does it say that he cant beat him out? By the way PJ was NOT the worse QB in 1A last year, he wasnt good but wasnt the worst.

Ill wait for when we see each in game situations to make the decision.

In case you are interested PJ's QB ranking were better than those from at least THREE BCS teams Clemson,Kentucky and Washington.

He also has better stats than the QB hell face from PSU

and thats analysis dealing with facts.

Wow, Clemson, Kentucky, and Wahington, gee are problems are solved. PJ can outplay the QBs from those Div-1 powerhouses, come on, those teams are are bottom feeders in their respective conferences.  Futhermore, those teams are in the ACC, SEC, and PAC-10, PJ played against CUSA teams big difference.  Bottom line, wins, USF's QB needs to be a winner, stats don't matter if you don't win.

USF does not need a QB to go out and win games... right now all USF needs is a QB that won't go out and lose it by throwing INTs or making bad passing decisions... Think the Bucs with Trent Dilfer -- they didn't get to the Super Bowl, but they did make the playoffs.

That is the mindset USF really needs right now.  If PJ can complete 58-60% of his passes, reduce his sacks, and throw fewer INTs - then PJ will suffice.
