Is 80 yards long? Just saw a video, why make it short, and for 35 Million, it's not 100 yards?

An IPF doesn't need to be 100 yards long.  The only thing you can't do on that is a full scrimmage.  Every drill and every bit of game planning can be done.  Unless you want to practice 4th and 95.

Maybe, but I have watched several practices indoors at UCF, and when they are running several teams, that place uses every single yard of the field.

If I remember correctly their IPF has both a 40 and 80 yard field.

Taken from a D1 staff member commenting on the new field:

 

A 70 yard field hurts when you’re going against scouts. On a regulation field you put the ball on the respective 35’s going in (opposite directions). With the QB’s and RB’s at 7 yds each side, they’re at the 42’s with 16-ish yards between. With a 70 yard field - no shot. You’d have to spot the ball on the 20’s and every play becomes red zone going in. Not enough room to run your deep routes.

Something as benign as that was, maybe just an "I read somewhere ..." and just paraphrase.

Edit: Paraphrase means put in your own words .... forgot I was talking to a Kanigit fan.
