Poor sales is what got Under Armour to say "Thanks, we are not renewing."

I think Under Armour has been in big trouble for quite a while, and that has nothing to do with USF. Apparel and shoe manufacturers look to brand wherever they can. The fact that we made the announcement of the new deal with Adidas with 7 months remaining in the UA deal leads me to believe that UA has made a decision to slim down their profile and target bigger fish, as evidenced by the very large deal they just signed with UCLA. The deal we received from Adidas is essentially the same as the one we signed with UA ($3 million a year in cash and apparel). The biggest difference is that the deal with Adidas is extremely product heavy and light on the cash, while the UA deal was lighter in product and saw more cash going to USF. Of course, the cash would be better, but at the time of the UA deal we were also still technically in a "Power" conference and had just gone through our first contract with UA that had to be lucrative for them given the terms of the prior deal.
