Sounds about right. Houston and Navy are always solid teams to be considered ahead of. We’ve established success, now we just need to build on it and turn the corner.

Why all the love for Memphis? Didn't they lose a lot to graduation?

Not so much...their big issue is at QB but their fans think they have a decent one stepping in.

Finally someone sees Temple for what they really are...

Precisely about Temple. The hype baffles me, but their coach does come from UF and people seem to like to ride SEC jocks. I just don’t think they’ve proven anything when they barely made a bowl.

I think Memphis and us are interchangeable. Both have good coaches coming off a good season, with QB as the glaring question mark.

Temple is riding high after finishing well but it is a new season. Still, beating them in Philly is going to be important relative to our last game against ucf being meaningful.

Didn't they lose a difference-making WR, too? Yep, all-time leading receiver Anthony Miller. So they lost their top WR, QB and they couldn't stop anyone last year but people still like them?

Right. I don't buy the Memphis love minus the QB, two-time 1,000-yard wideout and with a defense that gave up 31 to UConn, 29 to Louisiana-Monroe, 31 to Southern Illinois, 45 to UCLA and SMU, and 102 in two games against UCF.

Funny. We had a defense that bad in 2016, lost arguably the best WR and RB in school history, and people were pissed we didn’t go undefeated.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
