Andrew Perez was named the number 65 player in the nation by college Baseball Daily.

Perez finished with 2017 posting  an ERA of 2.72 in 39.2 innings pitched with 52 strikeouts.

the article states that his biggest problem was inconsistency but his raw abilities will make him a good RP at the next level.

What do you guys think?

SP or RP?

Always want your best arms in the rotation in college. He can switch to the bullpen once someone gets him in the minors.

I like him in our rotation too, but with how the next level has turned toward the back end, I could defiantly  see him moving to the pen

Absolutely. In a tournament setting (AAC, CWS), a starter can impact 15-20 innings over a week. A reliever might get you 5. You've got to have him in the rotation next year.

I like him out of our bullpen.  Seems to be less effective after 2 or 3 innings.  He's a dominant closer, at times unhittable.  If it aint broke, don't fix it.

I could see us using him much like Houston used Devenski last season. A work horse RP who could come out and pitch half a game.
