Velcro, 133 is a donation section.  I don't think they use that for the visitor allocation.

133 is MikeG and his croonies' section.  I see them aggravating the visiting fans all the time.  I sit safely up in 234 up out of the action.  Real trouble maker those guys are for the visiting fans.

Thanks for the replies.

I haven't figured out where I'm going to stay yet.  I hear the Wyndham and Mariott hotels are nice in Tampa.

My uncle lives in Clearwater and I have a "friend" in St. Pete.

I suppose I will take Southwest or Air Tran from RDU to Tampa.

Southwest or Air Tran should be about as cheap as you can get.

As far as hotels, it depends whether you want to be closer to nightlife, the stadium or the beaches.

If you want to be close to the stadium, look for hotels in the West Shore (or Westshore, in some search engines) business district, which also happens to be close to the airport.

There are hotels downtown and closer to Ybor if you want more access to nightlife and, of course, several hotels near the beach (45 minutes avg. from the stadium).

If you come back with some hotel names or location, we can give you some feedback as to whether they're decent places.
